We had a very busy week last week, attending 2 conferences – CONASTA65 in Brisbane and CaSPA’s Annual Conference in Melbourne.
Conferences are a great opportunity for us to share some of our amazing tour ideas with teachers and principals and help them to see how travel can open their students’ eyes to the world around them.
CONASTA65 and the CaSPA Annual Conference were even more special for us this time thanks to the amazing prize we had on offer to the delegates. Each delegate who visited our stand and completed an entry form went into the draw to win up to $20,000 off the cost of one of our curriculum linked, custom designed school tours.
We had lots of entries from each conference and it was so great to see how excited everyone was about the opportunity. We really enjoyed hearing about what people would do if they won the prize: “What about Antarctica?” “Many of our students haven’t been to Sydney, what an experience it would be for them!” “We would love to show our students the career opportunities available to them” “We would never have considered a tour like this but now we might be able to!”.
On the final day of both conferences two delegates were very excited to have their names pulled out in the draw. Our lucky winners are:
Mr Richard Chapman from Star of the Sea Catholic College in George Town, Tasmania
Ms Glenda Hoffmann from Kingaroy State High School in Kingaroy, Queensland.
We are looking forward to working closely with Glenda and Richard to bring their ideas to life by finding the best experiential learning activities for their tour, so that their students can learn by doing. This is such an amazing opportunity for these schools and we congratulate both our winners and would also like to thank all of those delegates who came to our stands during the conferences.
