Mission Discovery

HOST YOUR OWN MISSION DISCOVERY

Would you like to work with NASA astronauts and leaders by hosting Mission Discovery at your school or university?

Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept It:

“Work with astronauts, astronaut trainers, space rocket scientists and NASA leaders for a week & compete to have your experiment, built and launched to the International Space Station and carried out in space.”

Designing an experiment to be carried out on board the International Space Station (ISS) sounds like something only elite scientists working for NASA and other special organisations could do!

Thanks to Latitude Group Travel and ISSET (The International Space School Educational Trust), the opportunity to design a space-ready experiment that will actually be carried out by the astronauts manning the ISS is now possible for Australian students and students around the world.

Mission Discovery is an international program, which provides an opportunity for young people to work with inspiring role models. It is an ideal program for students with an interest in pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths or in the Space Industry. However, it is not only for those considering a scientific career – it can give students valuable life skills and the confidence to follow their dreams.

Mission Discovery has been active since 2012 with Programs running across the globe, giving ordinary students the chance to achieve something extraordinary.

Mission Discovery can be hosted at any school or university in Australia, and around the world. There are minimum requirements to become a host.
